Original era manufacture. Civilian style wooden scabbard with a brown leather field cover which shows wear near the top. The 25 inch blade is bright with a clear temper line visible. There are scattered spots of corrosion and some shallow nicks in the edge but the point remains sharp. Nice old iron tsuba decorated with a flying crane. The grip needs to be rewrapped completely. Honest old sword needing some TLC.

Original era manufacture. 23 inch polished steel blade showing a graying and spotted surface with evidence of an old cleaning. No nicks in the cutting edge and the tip remains sharp. Army pattern hilt with a cast brass tsuba. Leather covered wooden scabbard with a single brass carrying ring. Sound Pacific War souvenir.
