Pigtail JST Female Connector with 11 inch wire
JST gender is determined by the red plastic connector housing and not the actual pins. The female JST connector has metal pins inside it, however, since its plastic case fits over and envelopes the male JST connector it is considered the female of the species. Unfortunately this has created some confusion. If you go by the pins, the genders seem reversed than the actual product title. But if you go by the red plastic housing it will make sense what the manufacturer intended.

In-line power wire connector (female)
If you have a project where you'd like to be able to detach the wiring, this wire will fit the bill. Its a JST 2.5mm 'free hanging' cable assembly that latches strongly. One wire is marked with a white dashed line. You can't plug these in backwards. We use these mostly for EL wire. This is the same connector as is on the inverter.
