A hosta of uncertain origin - is it a species, or is it a cultivar of ancient origin? Comments: Plants are sterile (will not set seed), so unfortunately this will be a difficult plant to use in breeding. Rarely plants will have a genetic problem where the blooms fail to open then simply turn brown and drop off but we grow these long enough to verify their blooming capability.
