Goats do Roam White is a blend of Chenin Blanc, Cla irette Blanche, and Riesling, as well as smaller amounts of Viognier and Grenache Blanc. The grapes were hand harvested fully ripe, whole bunch pressed and cold fermented in stainless steel tanks. From the Winemaker: "One afternoon, at harvest time, my mischievous son Jason and his friend Justin let the goats out of their tower and sent them for a walkabout amongst the vines. As in the legend of the Yemeni goat herder, whose roaming flock first discovered the joys of coffee beans, our goats picked out the best and tastiest fruit. Their choice serves as our inspiration for this wine. This full bodied unwooded wine shows considerable character, combining the flavours and feel of our sun drenched...

Golden straw in color, this wine has rich and fruit y aromas that carry on to the palate. Flavors of intense peach, lemon grass and ripe grape leave a long, lingering finish. Interestingly, there are 7 different grapes in this blend. - Clairette Blanc 28%, Semillon 24%, Grenache Blanc 14%, Gewurztraminer 12%, Cape Riesling 9%, Sauvignon Blanc 8% and Chenin Blanc 5%.

This delightful little dry South African white is made of a blend of 54% Viognier, 40% Grenache Blanc and 6% Roussanne. 2009 is the first appearance of the Roussanne and the winemaker is very pleased with the results. As is typical for the grape, the Viognier provides the alluring floral and spice components. Look for aromas of peaches, pears, flowers and spices, followed by more of the same in the mouth with a juicy hint of honeysuckle on the finish. Serve as an aperitif, or with all kinds of seafood...
