Mastering the Art of French Cooking, Volume 1 & 2: The Essential Cooking Classics
I bought this as a gift for my wife, after being inspired by the Julie and Julia movie. First of all, the Walmart price is the best...by quite a bit. I found this for well over $100 dollars elsewhere. Second, the recipes inside are easy to follow and make for fantastic meals! If you have a rookie cook in the house who wants to explore the cullinary arts, or if you have a master that just wants new recipes to try...this is a must have. |

Child Julia - Mastering the Art of French Cooking
As far as I know Lewis Carrol only wrote two wonderland books, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and Through the Looking Glass. I can't remember there ever being any description in either book about Alice's hair colour. Still I suppose you're talking about Through the Looking Glass, which is, at the least, darker thematically (or more serious, anyway). Or you might be thinking of a movie in which the character has dark hair. In which case, I have no idea, sorry. |

This reissue, clad in a handsome red jacket, is what a cookbook should be: packed with sumptuous recipes, detailed instructions, and precise line drawings. Some of the instructions look daunting, but as Child herself says in the introduction, 'If you can read, you can cook.'" |
