This trip begins with a ride through Pelican Valley and over Mist Pass into the Lamar Canyon, where we make our first camp near the confluence of Cold Creek and the Lamar River. After two days of fishing the upper portion of the Lamar River, we move camp down river to the confluence of Miller Creek and the Lamar River.

The Sandy River, due to water levels in the lower portion, is fished between November and early June.
