A typical armet was made of four pieces: the skull, two cheek plates and the visor. The armet was most popular in Italy and England, while Germany and the surrounding countries preferred the sallet helmet. European Bascinet Helmet was the Flavour of 1300’s and early 1400’s .In that time of transition from plate armour to Chinmails the Europion Bascinet Armor Held its place in Europion History. The Effects of "Duke of Gloucester’s" Inventory drawn up in 1397 lists two Bascinets for " War & Jousts" and 3 helmets like the frog mouth for jousts of " peace", implying an actual favor of this rounded style Bascinet for glancing off blows in combats.
