This is from a series of necklaces inspired by Victorian mourning jewelry. The victorian pieces were made of an early form of plastic called vulcanite. This necklace was inspired by the classic shapes of those beautiful pieces but piercing them out of silver and 18k gold. The silver is oxidized a dark black color. The necklaces are incredibly light and airy and reflect light beautifully.
