Independence Day this is not. That film had great special effects, an amusing story line and didn't take itself too seriously. The special effects here are mostly good but not great (the LA tornado scene and, for the most part, the NYC wall of water the only exceptions). The wolves, however, are hilarious. By the way, can just give NYC a break? Next time, destroy Cleveland or Detroit. Oh wait, would would care. The story is so somber and humorless it's enough to make you wish for a funnel...
