When I saw "programmable" I thought I had found the answer to my "start time" problem. I wanted to be able to say start at noon and be ready when I get home from work rather than start now, as I leave for work, and sit on warm for the afternoon. Instead, I'm still using a lamp/vacation/timer plug in and not really happy with being forced into only 4 cook time choices.
