This season is the most short lived out of the sereis, with a whopping eight episodes. Mostly due to the fact that Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynitha Nixon were due in this season. But the show progresses, and as a fact unlike previous seasons where all of them dealt with their men issues, this season deals with the perils of being single. Carrie feels that she has missed the boat, especially with Mr. Big in Napa, CA and Adian out of the picture. Samantha seems she can't figure herself out anymore...

If you are a fan of this intelligent, fresh, and hillarious HBO series then you must own this compilation of the first season. If you have never seen it before, or if you missed any part of the first season, take this opportunity to catch up with the best comedy on television (sorry Will and Grace). September 27, 2010: I realize that most people enjoy this show, which was a reason for me renting it. Thank goodness I rented it and didn't purchase it. It was the most awful show I have ever seen. I didn't laugh once and ultimately fast forwarded most of the show. I hated it so much that I stopped watching after the first two episodes. If you don't like strong, lewd, sexual humor, then this box set is really not for you.
