Phil's New England Chowder Base
(Makes 1 Gallon) You will need your favorite seafood- clams and mussels (steam separately before putting in sauce), squid, fish, scallops, prawns and linguini (optional). Let sauce defrost in refrigerator. Pour sauce into pot and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes. Add seafood to sauce and cook for an additional 10 minutes. Cioppino may be served over cooked linguine.
