This wonderful object is a majolica piece from the Sarreguemines Pottery Company. Clearly impressed on the bottom with the Sarreguemines mark, a black stamped mark under the glaze that reads, made in Germany, and the numbers, G2313. About 8 1/2 inches tall. When sitting on the table you can see a happy face. When upside down there is a very unhappy scowling face. Inscribed along the outer bottom are the words, Tu Ris Quand Tu Es Plein - Quand Tu Es Vide Je Te Plains. It loosely translates to, If...

Unmarked near mint condition Majolica Corn pitcher. 5" high with nicely detailed kernels of corn. This wonderful piece has no chips, cracks, hairlines or crazing. Glaze drips inside pitcher and near spout. Very nice addition to your collection of Majolica.

Description: Minton Majolica wine pitcher decorated with a satyr mask below the spout, and cherubs hanging from grape vines across the sides. Handle in the form of a mermaid with entwined tail. Turquoise ground with ochre border around the rim. Pink interior and underside. Small vent hole to back of mermaid's neck and under her tail. Stilt marks to underside along with impressed maker's marks 'MINTON', '1420' and date cipher for 1868.

With tree-form upper rim and raised fish-scale and leaf design to body. Raised English Registry mark on base. Height 8."

This is a very pretty antique cream pitcher about 3.5 inches tall in the shape of an ear of corn. It has the pretty majolica pink inside. There are two small chips in the rim, a some crazing in spots, but it's cute as can be! There is a 7 marked in the base, and that seems to be all the markings. Authenticated by CAGA certified appraiser.
