I use this hat under my helmet and it provides a bit of shade without bulk. It's bigger than my head so it wrinkles up to fit, but as it's under my helmet - who cares? Very, very comfortable. 2012 Castelli Retro Cycling Cap
We've always loved the idea, floated in days of yore, of rolling up to the start line with a cotton cycling cap at a jaunty angle on our head, taking it off and handing it to a pretty thing or eager school child, strapping on our leather casque and rolling away in a parade through the town before the hostilities begin five kilometers up the road. I thought that this was a cool looking cycling cap. My only issue is that it seems kind of tall on my head. There's a lot of extra fabric that billows up above my scalp. Perhaps I have ears that are placed higher than other peoples... The result when I wear it, is that it looks more like a train conductors hat than a cycling cap.
