This Heavy Duty Slip Yoke eliminator kit fits Jeep NP231 transfer cases. This kit is shipped with a rear 1310 series C.V. type yoke. You will need a C.V. equipped driveshaft. Note: We have designed our heavy duty fixed yoke output shaft with the most current design shaft found in the New Process Gear NP231. This current design shaft was introduced in 1997. Jeep vehicles using the early NP231 can still use our kit, providing that the needle bearings are removed from the stock drive sprockets.

These short shaft kits, or slip yoke eliminators, with new heavy-duty shafts, are engineered to withstand the 50 percent increase in torque generated by the extreme reduction of the Tera Low231 gears. These kits also eliminate the need to lower the transfer case in most cases by increasing the rear driveshaft length by 4 in. They include a larger output bearing and rear housing.
