Blanketflower is a tough, sun loving, long-bloomer and unusual in that it blooms the first year from seed and most perennials do not. I love the perpetual faces of bright yellow and red in the garden alone or with cousin, Indian Blanket, a smaller annual version. Looks great with Prairie Coneflower, and Mexican Hat, as well as in our Butterfly Mix. Use Blanketflower for bloom from midsummer through frost.
