Bambu Veneerware, "Reusable Disposable" Plates and Utensils 9" plates, set of 8
While beautiful and sturdy enough, these plates should not be deemed "reusable". The manufacturer says as much on the packaging. (They're good for perhaps one wash and reuse, as another reviewer wrote.) So much energy is required to manufacture, package, and ship a plate, regardless of its materials, renewable or otherwise. While Bambu's solid bamboo products are invaluable (I've used the same spork since 2005!), their veneerware simply is wasteful. I hope that reusit will reconsider offering this...
