The Carbon Express Thunderstrom is an affordable transition arrow for young archers. It is the perfect arrow for the mid range bows in the 30 to 50 pounds. Ok so besides the added benefit of a extreme F.O.C. arrow with the 43grain inserts, the penetration on these things is totally awesome. I have short draw length and these arrows seem to be the perfect fit - weight vs speed for a short draw archer. Not only do my arrows weight 350grains, at 26" and have a 16% F.O.C., but due to the added spine heft they are extremely quiet and rugged.
