This beautiful antique earthen ware vase is decorated by very thick enamels, almost like cake decoration through an icing tip. The interior is clear glazed to enhance the natural pottery. The vase is 5” diameter x 8 3/4". It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. On the bottom is stamped “Germany” in black Gothic script under a clear glaze.

This is an excellent example of Arts & Crafts pottery. The design on this piece is hand done. There is crazing throughout the piece. No chips or cracks...there is a small piece of the middle rim missing but judging from the glaze that was done when it was removed from the kiln. This piece measures an impressive 12 1/4" tall.

Product Description Pair of matte art pottery vases with Art Nouveau pierced gilt metal overlay. Made in France late 19th - early 20th century. Each vase measures 5 inches tall. Beautiful mottled colouring is not identical in the vases. One has shades of blue and green while the other is green and brown/yellow. Inside the former is deep sea blue with a mottled mustard/brown, while the other vase inside is a pearly combination ranging from cream to green. Tubular shape widening to a knop and ring...
