The speed stated for write and read were mostly correct. Though it depended on the size of the files. I did tests from small individual MP3 files to very large folders that had 4.49 gigs in them. I did notice that the larger the size being transferred the slower the drive would go, but even at its slowest it was still faster than any other flash drive I have used.
