I am very disappointed. I bought this in the tan color. It looks great but definitely does not perform great. I used a couple of the small pieces for weekend trips where I didn't check bags and it was wonderful. Just used the two largest pieces for an extended trip and checked the bags and the luggage was ruined. The metal bars where the handles slide down bent so badly that the handles can't come up again. There is no "structure" between the soft vinyl outside of the bag and the metal bars...

we used this luggage on our recent trip to Jamaica & I have to say all the pieces held up. But the wheels could've been made better, they didnt fall off which was a bonus. The luggage was good for the price I paid & would most likely by it again.

Two of the American Flyer luggage sets were purchased for twin grandaughters graduating from high school and heading for college. This particular set was very smart in appearance and appears to offer versatility in components. Time will tell as far as durability is concerned. A few good runs down an airport luggage ramp and carousel are the best tests for most luggage pieces. The girls loved the luggage & can't wait to use them.

Seriously quality set. I'd recommend this for anyone. Have concerns? Put them aside. I was a little worried purchasing something online - especially with a couple of bad reviews - but was thrilled to get this set. Some people must expect a $1,000 set of luggage for $100ish. Crazy peeps. But, seriously, this is a quality set that should cost about $300. A friend of mine has this set and has beaten the heck out of it, and it's still going strong.
