3x Light Fitting for Square/Round Boon
Just before purchasing the Moooi Round Boon from YLighing, I went to a Moooi dealer to see one in person. The salesperson there advised me to buy the 3X Light Fitting. Now I can see why. There's no way a single bulb would give off enough light, even for a relatively small room. Moooi should just sell the fixture with the 3X fitting, and not charge extra for it.

Round Boon -Open Box
The Moooi Round Boon is beautifully made and looks great. I bought mine in black, and the dark color nicely accents the blackened steel and dark wood columns in my loft. The 3X light optional fitting seems like a necessity; I can't figure out why they don't just sell it that way. My boon arrived with a small dent in the outer drum, which I'm hoping will straighten with time. I e-mailed a photo of the dent to Ylighting and they've promised to help me troubleshoot.

Moooi Round Boon
Design by Piet Boon, 2002.Made in the Netherlands by Moooi.A large scaled drum shade pendant, with bottom diffuser to shield direct view of the light source. The shade, available in several colors, is a PVC/cotton laminate with metal frame. The bottom diffuser is a white PVC/viscose laminate, also with metal frame.Round Boon provides diffused, ambient illumination. Ships with a single socket light source. Optional 3x Light Fitting can be ordered to increase the light output.
