If you're only doing a small amount of sanding , this is a decent tool. If you are sanding a turning every day, you have to disassemble the tool and carefully clean it. Otherwise, even the manufacturer recommended small amount of oil combines with sanding dust, turns black and slings out onto the turning. It can't be cleaned off with mineral spirits and causes extra sanding (after you've cleaned the tool) to remove it. In my opinion, a better choice is one of the ball bearing types of tools which...
