2006 Clos Tita Winery Gironde Bordeaux Blend 750ml 12pack
Our philosopy of a naturalistic approach to winemaking requires many non invasive but well timed events in the vineyard as well as in the cellar. The estate vineyard is worked completely by hand. The vines are short, close spaced and pruned to short canes. They are non-irrigated and sprayed only with elements naturally occuring in nature. While not strictly organic or biodynamic, we do lean away from high impact farming methods. Sustainable agriculture is practiced. |

2006 Clos Fourtet, St-Emilion (1.5L) (Pre-Arrival)
91 points Robert Parker: "A blend of 80% Merlot and the rest equally split between Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, this wine has a dense purple color and a beautifully sweet nose of blackberry and blueberry fruits intermixed with acacia flowers, charcoal, and some subtle oak. The wine is nicely textured, medium-bodied, and very concentrated for a 2006 St.-Emilion, with a certain degree of opulence and sucrosite. This is a beauty, with moderate tannins in the finish. Clos du Bois 2006 Marlstone - Bordeaux Blends Red Wine
Red Wine by Clos du Bois from Sonoma County, California. 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 4% Petite Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Malbec. The 2006 Marlstone marries suave, concentrated structure with elegant fruit, making it as much a cellar selection as a natural fit for today's table. Inky black and ruby red in color, on the nose it pairs complex aromas of ripe wild blackberry fruit, plum and black licorice with pleasing notes of cigar box and brown spice. Chateau Clos Fourtet, 2004 Saint - Emilion, Bordeaux Red
"This is unquestionably another superb classic from proprietor Michel Reybier and his brilliant winemaker, Jean-Guillaume Prats. Made from an unusually high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon (78%) and the balance mostly Merlot with a tiny dollop of Cabernet Franc, this superb effort requires plenty of time in the bottle. It boasts an inky/purple color as well as a glorious perfume of licorice, Asian spices, creme de cassis, blackberries, and toasty oak. This full-bodied St.-Estephe is exceptionally... |

Clos de Sarpe Bordeaux Blend 2008
"A brilliant effort for this vintage, yields were a mere 10 hectoliters per hectare in 2008 and the result is only 8,000 bottles produced. Opulent, fleshy and full-bodied, this wine has reigned in the excruciatingly high level of tannins, but the 15% alcohol gives it loads of glycerin as well as a chewy mouthfeel. Inky/purple-colored and super-concentrated with relatively civilized tannins, this stunning 2008 should be accessible in 3-5 years (atypical for Clos de Sarpe) and drink well for 30+." |

2001 Clos Haut-Peyraguey Bordeaux Blend
($43-$49) Pale orange-gold color. High-toned aromas of apricot, creamed corn, honey and white raisin; gives a slightly roasted impression. Fat, full, superripe and sweet, with an unctuous, toffee-like richness buffered by sound acids and lifted by a metallic minerally nuance. A very large-scaled '01 that finishes with an impressive wave of sweet fruit. A superb performance for this property. |

2009 Clos Fourtet St Emilion - Bordeaux FUTURES
After tasting it three times from bottle, I am convinced this prodigious wine is one of the greatest young Bordeaux I have ever tasted. Inky blue/purple with notes of camphor, forest floor, blackberry, cassis, sweet cherries, licorice, the wine has stunning aromatics, unctuous texture and an almost inky concentration, but without any hard edges. With considerable tannin and just enough acidity to provide definition, this wine transcends even its premier grand cru classe terroir. It is certainly the... |

1996 Leoville Las Cases - Clos du Marquis Bordeaux Blend
A mixed showing for this bottle. Still enjoyable, but this one was on the verge of cresting. Leathery cassis nose was still there, and the fruit showed ripe and in balance, but turned a touch raisin with time in the glass. I would advise opening and pouring rather than a decant at this stage, we may have pushed it beyond its comfort zone! So how about 90 for the wine and -3 for the wine lover! |

I decanted this bottle for 2 hours before enjoying the blackberry, plum and currant flavors of this beauty. Initially, the nose was closed, but opened nicely to reveal spicebox and lavender along with the signature toasty oak. This will be perfect in another 2 or 3 years and will last for 20. |

1982 Leoville Las Cases - Clos du Marquis Bordeaux Blend
Although I enjoyed this wine more three or four years ago, it remains a vibrant, exuberant, spicy, cedary, curranty claret with medium body, good depth, and real class. The second wine of Leoville-Las-Cases, it often performs at a classified growth level. Owners should plan to drink it by the turn of the century . Tasted 6 times since bottling with consistent notes. |

葡萄酒期货 2011 Clos Fourtet
Robert Parker note Two consulting oenologists with different philosophies work together at Clos Fourtet. Since Stephane Derenoncourt, a late harvester, and Jean-Claude Barrouet, a much earlier harvester, have joined forces, the results have been exhilarating. This 50-acre vineyard high on the plateau, owned by the Cuvelier family and managed by Tony Balu, had yields of 33 hectoliters per hectare. The 2011, one of the stars of the vintage, is a blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet... |

2007 Clos Fourtet, St-Emilion
- Cabernet Sauvignon has come a long way from its role as a blending varietal, however dominant, in the wines of Bordeaux. Today it is the most planted red varietal in the world. Identified as a descendent of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc, the late-ripening Cabernet Sauvignon needs to be planted in warmer climates to fully ripen. Its small berries can easily be identified for their distinctive blue color, thick skins and high tannins. And while the varietal has its own definitive characteristics... |

2005 Clos St Martin Bordeaux Blend
St.-Emilion's smallest vineyard produces so little wine (600 or so cases) that it is virtually impossible to find. This beautiful site (somewhat ghoulishly situated adjacent to St.-Emilion's cemetery) produces what I have often called the "Lafleur of St.-Emilion." Classic notes of crushed rocks, spring flowers, kirsch, and even blacker fruits along with stunning nobility, complexity, and precision emerge from this beauty. The extraordinary 2005 possesses fabulous concentration, terrific texture,... |

2006 Clos Rougeard "Clos" Saumur Champigny
- While Cabernet Franc, a parent with Sauvignon Blanc to the ubiquitous Cabernet Sauvignon, frequently plays second fiddle in Bordeaux blends (though it does get more props on the Right Bank, where it dominates Cheval Blanc), this lighter, higher acid/lower tannin, early-maturing, perfumed red varietal is far from a wallflower. It is the headliner in the Loire Valley appellations of Saumur-Champigny, Bourgueil, St-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, Chinon and Anjou-Villages, where it makes exceptional, food-friendly... |

Red Wine by Chateau Clos L'Eglise from Cotes de Castillon, France - Bordeaux.
