A very small number of original State Quarters have been set aside for this special edition. Each coin is plated in seven mils of pure 24 karat gold to give it a rich golden appearance - and then genuine holograms are applied the designs. The holograms add a mesmerizing sense of beauty to the golden coins, because the light reflects off the holograms in every direction to create a truly eye-catching item.

All 100 P & D Mint brilliant uncirculated State Quarters released (Delaware - Hawaii) along with the Deluxe Dansco State Quarter Album. This hand-assembled album holds the state quarters from 1999-2008, 100 coins in all. (P & D mint from each state). Coins placed in the album are visible from both sides and are protected by acetate slides.

These coins are not available from the U.S. Mint. They are genuine State Quarters that are struck by the U.S. Mint, but the Mint does not have the capacity to gold-plate coins. Each State Quarter is individually encapsulated to protect its finish, and the 5-coin set comes complete with a presentation case.

The U.S. 1999-2008 “Statehood” quarter series was the longest single-theme commemorative series in U.S. minting history to that point. Each unique design honors the history and traditions of the state it represents. The series follows the states’ admissions to the Union, from Delaware to Hawaii. We’ve compiled the first year 1999 “Statehood Quarter” BUs (Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia & Connecticut) and put them in a beautiful holder to protect and display the coins.

The selection process for the Georgia quarter was initiated when Georgia Governor Zell Miller tasked the Georgia Council for the Arts with the development and selection of the Georgia circulating quarter design. The Council responded by submitting five design concepts to the United States Mint.
