Combination Waterstones 1000/6000 Combination Grit Waterstone
I received my 250/1000 combination wet stone last week. Right away I set out sharpening 3 hand planes and four chisels that were in bad need of sharpening. I was able to get out all of the nicks and put a decent edge on them. Now I just need to get a harder stone to hone them. The 1000 side did seem a little soft. Tools wanted to gouge or dig in when being sharpened. I had to be real careful while sharpening to avoid that. I wonder how long that side will remain flat. All in all, it worked real...
