Veneer Smoothing Blade
Veneer Smoothing Blade

I purchased one of these. The plastic is too soft, allowing the wood grain to gouge the plastic, leaving tracks in the plastic face. Also, do not press too hard, as with other tools, because this will definitely break the plastic. Used the tool on one project - a small coffee table, and it broke before I could finish scraping down the veneer . If it happens to you, simply attach a blade from a plane to a set of vice grips, be careful sharp edge doesn't cut veneer, and "press on".
