Easy Model German Sd. Kfz. 162/1 Jagdpanzer IV L/70 Tank Destroyer - Unidentified Unit, Eastern Front, 1945
Historical Account: "Substitute Tank" - The Jagdpanzer IV served in the anti-tank sections of Panzer and SS Panzer divisions. They fought in Normandy, the Battle of the Bulge and on the Eastern Front (WWII). They were very successful tank destroyers but performed badly when used out of role as substitutes for tanks or assault guns, as most tank-destroyers did. In the later stages of the war however, they were increasingly used as tank substitutes, because there was often nothing else available. |

Gaso.Line German Sd. Kfz. 162 Jagdpanzer IV L/48 (V) Vomag Tank Destroyer
Work on its design took place in early 1943 and on May 13th, 1943, Vomag (Vogtlandische Maschinenfabrik AG of Plauen) produced a wooden mock-up, which was shown to Hitler in September 1943. The main role of the new vehicle was to be a tank destroyer and a first soft steel prototype was readied in October 1943, which was then shown to Hitler. In December 1943, a final prototype of the Jagdpanzer IV was prepared and Vomag was ordered to start production as soon as possible. Sold Out! |

Trumpeter #00384 1/35 German Entwicklungsfahrzeug E 100 Super Heavy Tank
E-100 Ausf B (hypothetical) Super heavy tank designed as an alternative to the Maus, it used a modified Maus turret with the 150mm KwK 44 with plans to upgrade it to the 170mm KwK 44 later. Development of the E-100 started in June 1943 & continued steadily until 1944 when Hitler stopped all development of super heavy tanks. But even though, three engineers carried on the work at a low priority & by the end of the war they managed to nearly finish the first prototype which only needed a turret. The... |

Master Box Ltd. 1/35 PzKpfw I Ausf A Breda Light German Tank Kit w/Photo-Etched
It was first time when on October 28, 1936 the tanks Pz.1A of 'Drohne' group included into 'Condor' legion collided with the Soviet tanks of T-26 model adopted by Republicans. Machine guns and armor of the German machines turned out to be completely helpless before 45-mm turret and armor featured by T-26. To increase firing power of their machines, members of German tank crews had performed a little modernization on the spot. They had enlarged the tank turret height, firstly removing the upper armored... |
