These Hobie hatches are designed to have a better seal. The lids also hinge open, so you never lose the lid. Designed with a corkscrew-like mechanism for closure, a simple twist of the handle opens or closes the hatch. As the screw pulls down the hatch, you get a tight seal on the “O Ring” seal. I bought this for an older model ocean frenzy I couldn't be more pleased. Shipping was lighting fast install was a breeze. Now I have space in the heavy duty bag plus space below the hatch thanks to some J.B. weld and some deck loops . Had ordered a K.F.S. sticker that didnt make it but a quick e-mail about the problem and my sticker was here 3 days later great communication. K.F.S. is where i'll be do'in my kayak shoppin thank you to a great team.
