This case fits snugly, and will protect against smudges; however, I does not appear to offer any other protection. It is hard plastic, and I would guess it would easily break, if dropped on a hard surface, offering no real drop protection for the player. Get a leather carrying case for drop protection. It also is a bit overpriced for two pieces of plastic; but is actually cheaper on the Jetmall site, than Amazon.

I spent weeks on-line researching a good media player... I really didn't want an iPod and a Touch was too expensive and no expansion. This fit everything I wanted in a player, with some extras. The Flash Utility is great, but seems to have limited support at this time (firmware update?). The sound is amazing, with full EQ support and presets. The build feels strong and solid, yet it is small enough for a shirt pocket. Video and pictures look great. Battery Life is awesome... had to run it 10 hours...
