GAYFEATHER Liatris Spicata Gayfeather makes an excellent cut flower. It is part of the aster family and although it has flower spikes sticking straight up, each spike is composed of hundreds of tiny flowers. The flowers start opening from the top down making an attractive stem for cutting. By just trimming the spent flowers from the top the plant looks fresh. A very easy-to-grow flower! Perennial Sun to Partial Shade Days to Germination: 20-45 Blloms: Summer thru fall
