be inspired by nature. that was the idea behind jonathan adler’s relief collection – vases & bowls that were inspired by seeds, leaves, pebbles, & other natural wonders. adler threw each prototype, masked off the patterns, and sponged away the exposed clay for the final result. each item is made of high-fired stoneware.

all the items in jonathan adler’s lantern collection were constructed by stretching a ceramic skin over an invisible armature, like a japanese lantern. the pieces are made of high-fired stoneware with either a matte white or midnight glaze.
