Needed a water quick-boiling appliance with an AUTO-shut-off! This fills the bill for a great price. What keeps this from being 5-stars for me is: 1) that you need to pour the boiled water at the hot-pot location *or* unplug and move and pour, and 2) You must boil a minimum amount that is slightly more than a standard mug (about 12 oz). Hate to waste, or to re-heat in MW so I boil more water than I need and then pour the "extra" into a thermos. The Melita Kettle Express does not have these 2 issues...
