They're tough, they grow almost anywhere, they seem to be immune to insects and diseases, they last forever and they produce beautiful flowers over long periods from May until September! And the lush foliage looks good before the first buds appear and long after the last flower is cut. There are thousands of named varieties. An extraordinary mixture containing a wide range of vibrant colors; rose-pink, bright yellow, shimmering gold, vibrant orange, fiery red and attractive bicolors. They're great for naturalizing and provide long lasting color in the garden. Use them in a perennial border in front of shrubbery, as an edging along a walk or wall and in your bulb beds, where they hide the ripening foliage of tulips and daffodils. They need dividing only every 10-15 years. Plant 18-24" apart.

All of the daylily species now recognized originally natives of the far east. The plants were valued throughout the Orient for medicine and food as well as beauty and appear often in Oriental art and legends. There was no native species of daylily in North America. The tawny and lemon daylilies were among the first species to be brought to the American continent.

Standing up to sun, wind, and rain, and building buds well into the late season, EVA JANINE is not to be mistaken for any other daylily. Pale clear pink, early blossoms display wonderful pleating in the extremely green throat. Four-way branching and 30+ buds by season’s end. Has occasionally rebloomed here. Pod and pollen fertile.
