Summer Carnival Hollyhock Seed

In 4 vibrant shades, these big semi- to fully-double flowers arise all along tall, sturdy stalks beginning just 4 months from sowing! An annual Hollyhock, Summer Carnival is a long-blooming, very colorful series so garden-worthy that it received an AAS award! Tall and stately, it blooms all summer for a rich display of big powderpuff blossoms in every shade of pink, rose, red, and yellow!

Select a sunny location and plant outdoors in moist well drained soil after all danger of frost is past or during the summer for blooms the following year. Plants often reseed themselves. Cultivate the soil and firm over seed, keeping it moist.

Dramatically tall flower spikes produce beautiful 3”-5” (7.5-12.5) double blossoms in a rainbow of colors. Blooms summer to fall, blossoms open from base of the stem working up to the top. Easy to grow plants are excellent as a background for shorter plants and next to walls and fences. Culture: Sow seeds outdoors into well drained soil. Use good soil with nutrients to help the seeds grow. Do not plant Hollyhock Seeds too deeply, just ¼ inch or so in depth. If in fact you want to sow the seeds directly into the garden, sprinkle the seeds on top of tilled soil and sprinkle more soil to cover the seeds ¼ inch.
