That car could do 180 MPH. I had it up to 153 MPH with pedal left. Naturally I would get chased by the police and helicopters several times a year. It was quite impossible to catch, using various stunts and tactics. All in all, the car was simply superior to anything on the road at that time. Most importantly the driver. Custom side pipes. the front air dam similar to the one on the 1965 GT 350R . the hood is not stock Shelby. the gas cap is located behind the top scoop instead of the rear of the car. nitrous oxide. the suspension was completely replaced. Total Performance Control supplied rack and pinion steering and the suspension modifications. the wheels are custom as are the tires. those were not options in 1967.
