Bush type, long plant cylindrical, bush type plant, long cylindrical zucchini, dark green with light green stripes. Culture: Requires very rich soil, as squash is a voracious feeder. Sow 6-8 seeds in groups (hills) 2’-3’ (60-90 cm) apart. Thin to 2-3 plants per group. Water regularly from time of flowering until fruits ripen. Nutrition: Vitamins C and protein. Uses: Raw in salads and with dips or steamed, fried and stewed. Freezes well.

Use light soil with a high organic content for most successful culture. The summer varieties, nearly all of which are bush growth, should be planted in hills 4’ apart each way, while the winter or other runner varieties require 8-10’.
