Red Avery Hanging File Binders
Not that happy with these folders. I guess I expected a little higher quality for the price. The cheap plastic is hard to hold open, they spring closed too easily when trying to read documents. If you bend them at the seam, you chance tearing them. The closure rings are hard to open and close (remember to close the hanging mechanism before trying to open the rings!). There has to be a better material for the covers for me to order them again.

Black Avery Hanging File Binders
I purchased 5 of these about six months ago because I had more space in a file drawer than a bookshelf. At first, they were a lifesaver - I could file and update at will. Now, the rings on all 5 are impossible to open. The hanging hooks do not appear to interfere with the design - I have tried opening while the hanging hooks are in all possible positions - I don't know why these are now so hard to open. Now relegated to the archives. Will try another brand...

Green Avery Hanging File Binders
Excellent design. Rings close positively. Dropping a full folder into a hanging file sometimes opens rings because of the weight of the paper. They've anticipated this by requiring that the hanging tabs be pushed in before the rings can be opened.
