I have used many models of DeWalt miter saws over the years. I purchased my own 3 years ago, and use it often.I like the design because of all the adjustments that can be made to true the saw.It gets moved from job to job in my pickup, resulting in some bumps along the way that can knock the saw out of wack. Recently purchased this item with a 20% off coupon. Like the other reviews said, it takes about 20 minutes out of the box to fine tune it. But, that is no big deal because once it is set up it makes beautiful cuts. One review stated it does not immediatley stop rotating when you let off the button, that is no big deal because it stops within 5 seconds once you let off the button. Just practice safety and not grab your project while blade is turning. One minor defect in mine is the lockout button...

NOTE: this thing needs adjusting out-of-the-box. How to do this is simple. Get a carpenters square, lower the blade of the saw, put the square against the blade & tighten down the fence so its 90 degree's. Do same for other side. Also, you will need to adjust the laser guide manually, the bracket that holds it in place is a cheap flimsy piece of metal & bends easily. If you knock into it it will go out of alignment but I don't see how you could do this after adjusting it the first time.
