During the Cold War, Checkpoint Charlie was the crossroads between East and West. Deriving its name from the military alphabet (Alpha and Bravo were the first two checkpoints), Charlie was a symbol for freedom and at the same time an indication of separation. This reproduction of the sign, which hung just outside the Western Sector, features warnings in Russian, English, French and German. Cast metal enamel sign with pre-drilled hanging holes. Screws are not included.

Grinding, pulsating overtones ride over throbbing bass, whilst tense chords waltz and dance around powerfully and paranoid, thus creating a powerful vacuum of techno. The music evokes, and stirs... conjuring up strong visual dialogue amongst the listener. Checkpoint Charlie brings you a tail of a cold reality, a want and desire to find escapism.
