I purchased it because I needed a vacuum that will pick up dog hair. This one definite does a great job at that. The only thing this vacuum is missing is a furniture brush attachment to get the dog hair off the furniture. I would have liked to have had a furniture cleaner attachment to get the dog hair off the furniture and it is hard to get the latch to work property to keep the vacuum upright, but for the price, it's a good vacuum that does pick up the hair.
