I designed and made my own PC a year and a half ago, wasnt too much difficulty and have had very few problems since. Recently though, the small fan on my Asus A8V-E deluxe motherboard (the chipset fan I think) has been making a hell of a noise, slowing down and speeding up at will, making even more of annoying sound as it does. I don't know why this is, but I want to get rid of it, but I'd rather not return the motherboard, and will be willing to buy a new chipset heatsink/fan at a small-ish cost...
