As advertised, the mitt is heat-resistant and washable, but it doesn't fit my hand well. And even though I'd consider my hands to be average size for a guy, the mitt is way too big, leaving more than an inch of rubbery slack space in the fingertip and thumb area. That makes fine tasks (like lifting a pot lid or repositioning an oven thermometer) almost impossible.) The glove has its uses, but it's not the ultimate oven mit.
