I have owned several pairs of the original Velocity, and would wear them through countless airports, 1 night lightweight backpacking, mountainbiking, limbo dancing, running from concert security, why even trail running several hundred miles. They are awesome. I do find the new VST to fit a bit snugger, and in a quiet room they squeek like a dry hinge on a toilet seat when I walk. What's with that? Is Vasque using Flubber for cushioning? If so, then bring it on since they absorb impact from hardpan...
