The 8x42 and 10x42 Monarch ATB both feature an advanced roof prism optical design. It incorporates Nikon s exclusive Eco-Glass (made without the use of arsenic or lead) for all lens and prism elements. Prisms feature phase-correction coatings and high reflection mirror coatings for superior sharpness and resolution, and all lenses and are fully coated with multiple layers of anti-reflective compounds for maximum light transmission. The result is much improved low-light brightness, edge-to-edge sharpness, and definition.Nikon s Monarch ATB series available in eight and ten power models, both with 42mm objective lenses, allowing for a 5.3mm exit pupil in the 8x model and a 4.2mm exit pupil in the ten power model. Each model close focuses down to just eight feet.
