Medieval Sword, Knight
Curious about the Assasin's Creed ? Ever wonder about the origin of the word ' Assassin '? Well, lots of other people have. There's a big dispute about the actual etymology of the word, but one well-accepted theory is that it stems from the word hashish. As in, stick-some-in-my-hooka-and-smo ke-it hashish. Medieval Knight Sword
This is a classic example of the Medieval swords found during the later part of the 14th C. and commonly used by the nobility during the 100 years war. The Medieval swords of the era were forged with the traditrional wheel pommel and slightly curved quillions. This sword is classified by Oakeshott as being a Type XIV, with a wide pointed blade suited for both thrusting and cutting. The original can be seen on page 124 of Ewart Oakeshott's "Record of the Medieval Sword"
