I bought this for my wife to replace an older SanDisk MP3 player she lost. Loading music on the old one was simply drag and drop the folders which contained the music. If you do that with this player, all the individual songs go into a folder called "UNKNOWN". I had to create playlists in Windows Media Player and then sync them with the Sansa Clip.
