Although listed as a "trail running shoe", the New Balance WT874 really isn't. It has an aggressive sole that can absorb the impact of small rocks and pebbles but the open weave top does not provide enough support to prevent the anterior part of the foot from side-to-side sliding in the shoe on uneven terrain.
