I ordered this bag mainly for a backpack trip up mountain trails so was looking for something that would provide some protection from the elements (and a few bumps and scrapes along the way) yet was lightweight and with pack straps. This bag was perfect. Just a tad heavier than I thought it would be from the description but it straps easily to my pack (the straps remove easily if you don't need them). There's not a lot of padding inside but the outer shell is tough and adequate for basic protection...
