Medelco 12cup Glass Stovetop Whistling Kettle

I wish I had tried it before I threw out the receipt and the box... you have to lift out the very snug fitting whistling top part to pour the water. I didn't even try to use it that way, I just use it without the top on because struggling with it when it's filled with boiling water does not seem like a safe idea. I wanted to buy this teapot because I read a lot of reviews about metal teapots that rusted inside and this seemed like a good alternative. I gave it 3 stars because it does serve my purpose...
